Temple Revisited: Environment Design Process

"Always share your knowledge and creative process generously."
Strengthen key lighting, global illumination, and rim lighting.
Add fill and secondary fill.
Paint details and the "essence" of material textures.
Add architectural details, dividing shapes and balancing between busy and non-busy spaces, always leading the eye back to the focal point. Push the perspective when possible.
30 minute base painting: Establish mood, general lighting, and color design.
Break up drawing into simple shapes and values.
1 min Thumbnail pencil sketch with general perspective. I draw on 2"x3" index cards. A small drawing space forces you to put down only what's important.
