Today I dropped off my painting at the gallery. It will be showcased on March 10th. The auction will benefit the city's art program for children. I hope to give back in the ways that I can.
For this painting, I had to use two palette boxes. One was especially dedicated to tackling the "green problem." In order to present nature's endless variety of greens, you have to mix your own greens. I found cad yellow deep and cobalt/ cerulean gives great variety. You can also add a bit of red oxide to mute the saturation.
