YAY! Success! "Out of Place" Opening Night Art Riot Extravaganza!

Thank you everyone! The "Out of Place" opening night Art Riot Extravaganza was extremely successful. We couldn't have done it without you! By 7:50pm, we had a line outside waiting to get in. The traffic was non-stop until the party ended at 12am. When we had to stop, the party moved next door. We had over 300 people!

We hope everyone enjoyed watching the art battle, vegan baked goods (they were sold out when I was about to buy some at 10pm!) , tantalizing drinks, and live beats from our DJ Zaion.

If you enjoyed the Art Riot Opening Night Extravaganza, March 12th, "fan us" on the Paper Hat Productions facebook and Rick and I will keep you updated for the next show. And if you have photos from the event, please post them or share a link here. If you do not have Facebook, you can always keep updated by checking our official Paper Hat Productions website. (We're already deciding on our next theme and possible dates).

We want gallery openings to be an outrageously fun community event.

Thank you Rick for all of the crazy times we had in curating the show. A huge thank you to our Media Sponsors Hyphen magazine, Asian American Theater Company, SF Zine Fest, Joel Hornsby, and Chris at SpaceGallery Sf. Thank you buyers for supporting upcoming talented artists. And finally, to the artists, the friends and family that support them, and you, our beautiful guests ~we really couldn't have done it without you!

Here are the results from the Team Art Battle:
Two artists, who never worked with each other before, were paired up randomly to work on a collaborative piece. The audience-picked theme was "Chaos." In 1.5 hours, this is what they come up with:

Team: Eve Skylar & Xiau-Fong Wee

Team: Francois Vigneault & Lavit Sea
Team: Haruka Seki & Jonas Madden-Connor
